Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school facilities, including Exterior & Groundskeeping (mulching, tree trimming, gutters), Interior Maintenance (paint touch-ups, carpet, change light bulbs), Systems & Utility Work (plumbing, electrical, wifi setup), and anything else needed to keep the school safe and presentable.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools are in good working condition and properly stored.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify any maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
-This will be done on weekends or later in the afternoon when the school is closing.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and address their needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting.
